I live in a building that is over 100 years old and was once a brothel. I haven't confirmed it, but this is what I was told by the landlord. The building has 5 apartment units. I've lived in places before where you could definitely feel something. There was an energy there that you could almost touch.
I never felt that in this apartment. Not until they started remodeling the apartment below.
These aren't daily occurrences, but both my husband and I have noticed and seen things since the remodel began.
1.) The first incident was in the kitchen when a empty box literally flew across the room as if kicked though no one was near it. Pots in the cupboard then started to rattle.
The rattling pots and pans has been a repeated thing.
2.) We have a skeleton model on top of our 7 foot tall entertainment center. It faced out toward the room and when I returned from work one day, it was turned around facing the wall. I asked my husband if he had moved it and he said no.I considered that maybe the cat had done this, but the skeleton has statues on three sides of it and if the cat had moved the skeleton piece, all of the others would have been knocked over.
3.) I was on the couch and the dogs were not in the room. The cat was on the couch opposite me. On the floor, a cat toy, a ball on a spring attached to a round, flat base, started flopping around as though it had been hit by something.
There are some other things that have happened, but these three incidence are the most overt and unexplainable for me. The other things you might be able to explain otherwise. Things "disappearing" and and then reappearing in a place where you know you've looked already....that sort of thing. Maybe I'm just looking too hard I don't see it.
I don't feel at all threatened or in danger. I find it interesting that this intelligent is just now coming upstairs after 4 years of living here. The remodel is the "driving" force I think for it to move to our unit. My friend and co worker did live in the unit below and said that she had some strange experiences while she was there.
Overall it is infrequent but defiantly there.
